Many concerned citizens and local organisations have no access to detailed information especially in rural areas which they can use to track service provision to be able to hold leaders accountable. In Mat South, citizens demanding better delivery of services like water, low income housing, road rehabilation and better sewer management systems are now heavily relying on the State of Service Delivery reports produced by the organisation to monitor and evaluate service delivery progress. This is due to the fact that these reports provide citizens with in-depth information on service delivery situation on the ground.

As a result our state of service delivery reports are now the most sought after document by a number of residents association members across Mat South province. Speaking to CYDT, some members noted that the state of service delivery reports and some articles on service delivery produced by CYDT provided them with credible, consistent, timely and accurate information with regards to the status of service delivery in the region. Other members pointed out that these detailed reports are excellent in helping them measure local authorities` commitment to servicing the needs of citizens in Matabeleland South.

It is pleasing to see that our state of service delivery reports have increased citizens skills to monitor and evaluate the state of service delivery. The reports have intensified their interest and focus on the state of service provision which increases the prospects of improved service delivery in the province.

So far, it is clear that what is reported in the State of Service Delivery reports is in sync with the challenges faced by people on the ground which is the reason residents have grown to like these critical reports. As a result, the organisation is committed to continue producing these reports that provide citizens and local residents association members with speciļ¬c, relevant and timely information on the state of service delivery on the ground.
